XianNow Terms of Use
Last updated: September 27, 2026
Effective: September 27, 2026
Welcome to XianNow (苋在, the “App,” “XianNow,” or “we”). These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and Han Yue, the independent developer and operator of XianNow. Please read them before using the App, paying particular attention to the sections on film-roll purchases, intellectual property, and liability. When you first use the App, you must affirmatively select “Agree and Continue.” If you do not agree, do not continue using the App. Our separate XianNow Privacy Policy governs the processing of personal information.
1. The Service
XianNow is a photography and creative app. Its features may include camera capture, Frames/templates and mood effects, filters and effects, text and layer editing, personal template and filter management, shooting with a character, saving and browsing photos, weather-based moods, a film-roll balance, and film-roll purchases. Available features depend on the current App version, your device, and the descriptions shown in the App.
In the current version, most creative data, templates, filter settings, shooting history, and your film-roll balance are stored on your device. This version does not provide a XianNow account, cloud backup of creations, or cross-device sync. Uninstalling the App, clearing App data, resetting your device, or device damage may make local data unrecoverable. You manage work saved to the system photo library through iOS Photos.
2. Eligibility and Acceptable Use
- You must have the legal capacity appropriate for your use of the service. Minors should use XianNow under a guardian's guidance. A parent or other guardian should read and consent to the Privacy Policy before a child under 14 uses the App.
- You must comply with applicable law and public order. You may not use XianNow to create, save, or distribute unlawful content or to infringe another person's image rights, privacy, reputation, copyright, trademark, or other lawful rights. Before using another person's photo, likeness, or work, make sure you have the necessary permission.
- You may not crack or reverse engineer the App, bypass security measures, scrape or make bulk calls without authorization, distribute malicious code, interfere with the service, or harm the rights of others, except where applicable law expressly permits the activity.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your device and system accounts. Back up anything you want to keep. XianNow cannot restore local data that was never uploaded to a XianNow server.
3. System Permissions and Your Work
- When you choose to use a related feature, XianNow may request access to the camera, photos, microphone, or location. You can deny or withdraw a permission in iOS Settings. Features that require it may stop working, while unrelated features will remain available. See the Privacy Policy and the system permission prompt for details.
- You retain the rights you lawfully hold in content you photograph, select, edit, or create. You are responsible for having the right to use that content and for any content you choose to share, publish, or otherwise provide to a third party.
- Your photos and personal creations are not automatically made public or uploaded to a XianNow server merely because you use on-device creative features. If you share through the system share sheet, the system or third-party app you select receives the content under its own terms.
- XianNow software, brand assets, interface, official templates, built-in materials, copy, and other official content belong to the XianNow operator or their respective rights holders. These Terms give you only a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your personal device for personal creative work. They do not transfer intellectual property rights. You may not copy, adapt, distribute, or commercially sell official materials without permission, except as allowed by law.
4. Film-Roll Items and In-App Purchases
- The App currently offers trial film rolls and film rolls obtained through purchase or redemption in the Apple App Store. Product names, quantities, prices, currencies, and purchase conditions are those displayed in the App and Apple's confirmation screen at the time of purchase. Digital purchases are completed through Apple StoreKit and the App Store. Check the item and price before paying.
- The trial balance is replenished to 20 shots each month and does not accumulate. Permanently purchased or redeemed film rolls do not expire. One shot is reserved when you take a photo and deducted after the finished image saves successfully. If capture, generation, or saving fails, the App restores the shot according to its records. Trial shots are used before permanent shots. Saving or sharing an already-saved image again does not consume another shot. The in-App explanation and current product behavior control the detailed rules.
- In this local version, the film-roll balance is stored on the current device and does not yet sync across devices. Changing or resetting a device may make a local balance unrecoverable. Purchase restoration, refunds, and transaction issues that Apple or XianNow must handle by law will be handled through Apple's purchase history, restore, and “Report a Problem” processes and applicable law.
- We will not ask you to buy in-App digital items through the XianNow website or by transferring money to a personal account. We do not collect your bank card number, payment password, or Apple Account password. If a purchase does not arrive or appears to have been charged twice, do not pay again. Check your Apple purchase history and, if you need our help, contact us with the minimum order details necessary—never your account password.
- These Terms do not limit any refund, complaint, or other consumer right you have under applicable law. Purchases, refunds, and balance adjustments for consumable digital items follow Apple platform rules and applicable law.
5. Maintenance and Changes
We work to keep the service available and may adjust features for maintenance, upgrades, security, or compatibility. If the service is temporarily interrupted by law, force majeure, system or network failure, device compatibility, or changes to the Apple platform, we will address the issue where reasonably practical and try to reduce its impact. We will give reasonable notice, such as an in-App message, of changes to the service or rules that materially affect your rights.
6. Responsibility
- Results may vary with device model, lighting, environment, and personal settings. XianNow does not promise identical results on every device or in every setting. You are responsible for deciding whether content is appropriate to save or share.
- To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable beyond what the law requires for loss caused by device failure, operating-system or third-party-platform failure, network interruption, user error, a lost device, or failure to back up local data, where those events are outside our reasonable control. Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits any right you have under applicable law.
- You are responsible where the law makes you responsible for violating applicable law or these Terms or infringing a third party's rights. This does not remove any responsibility we have under law.
7. Ending Use
You may stop using XianNow and uninstall the App at any time. Uninstalling does not automatically delete photos already saved to the system photo library. If you violate the law or these Terms and create a real risk, we may take necessary and proportionate measures permitted by law, including a warning, restricting relevant features, or suspending the service. Where reasonably practical, we will explain the reason and available next steps.
8. Updates and Contact
We may update these Terms when features or legal requirements change. We will give reasonable notice of material changes through a prominent in-App message or similar means. If the law requires renewed consent, we will request it. The date at the top shows when these Terms were last updated. If you do not agree to an update, you may stop using the affected service.

9. Governing Law and Disputes
The formation, interpretation, and performance of these Terms, and the resolution of disputes, are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. If a dispute arises from the use of XianNow, the parties should first try to resolve it amicably. If that effort fails, either party may bring a claim before a court with lawful jurisdiction. This section does not limit consumer rights under applicable law.
10. Other Terms
- If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
- Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
- These Terms were originally written in Chinese. This English version is provided for convenience. If the versions conflict, the Chinese version controls to the extent permitted by law.
